Thanksgiving Dining Options for Guests of Daytona Beach Hotels

The holidays are upon us once again. If you're planning to spend Thanksgiving at one of the marvelous Daytona Beach hotels, you're probably wondering where you can find a traditional holiday dinner. You're in luck, because there are several restaurants in the area that will be open on Thanksgiving and are serving up a special menu that day. It's a good idea to call the restaurant ahead of time to see if you need to make reservations. Here are a few suggestions to consider for your holiday meal:

Chart House - This world-famous restaurant plans to serve up a traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner in addition to its regular offerings of seafood and steaks. Also featured on the holiday menu are corn bread stuffing, creamed spinach, baked sweet potatoes, and your choice of pecan or pumpkin pie for dessert. A child's portion is available. Located at Marina Point, the Chart House is wonderful place to enjoy a meal, with its floor-to-ceiling windows, perfect for observing passing boats and yachts on the scenic Halifax River. You can also catch a view of dolphins and even manatees as they play in the water.

Stonewood Grill & Tavern - If you'd prefer a more casual atmosphere for your holiday meal, check out the Ormond Beach or Port Orange locations of Stonewood Grill. In addition to their regular offerings of great steaks and fresh seafood, Stonewood Grill will serve a traditional Thanksgiving menu. It includes your choice of clam chowder, house salad or Caesar salad as a starter, oven roasted turkey, with sausage and apple dressing, mashed sweet potatoes with maple drizzle, fresh sauteed green beans, fresh cranberry sauce and your choice of pumpkin pie with cinnamon whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for dessert.

Vince Carter's of Daytona and Ponce Inlet's Inlet Harbor restaurant also plan to offer a special Thanksgiving dinner besides their regular menu offerings.

If you'd like to work up an appetite before your meal, sign up to take part in the city of Palm Coast's annual Thanksgiving Feet to Feast 15K/5K Run/Walk. The course winds through magnificent scenery along Waterfront Park, Graham Swamp Trail and the Daytona State College campus. Your kids can even participate in a Fun Run. (6 and under are free).

Don't wait to make hotel reservations for Thanksgiving either. It's a popular time of year, and rooms at Daytona Beach hotels fill up fast. Contact the Atlantic Ocean Palm Inn to learn about our special holiday weekend deal. Call 800-634-0098 or book online.
