- The Daytona Beach Oceanfront Bandshell is the hub for a host of holiday activities from Dec. 4, 2013 - Jan. 4, 2014. An interactive sand scupture replica of the historic Daytona Road and Beach Course will feature radio control car racing on a 1/20 mile track. Other radio control events include "Harry's Roof-Top Helicopter Rides" and an air show featuring drones, airplanes, helicopters and a space shuttle launch.
There will also be a Kids Snow Zone and a Snow Art Gallery with lots of REAL Snow! Other kid friendly activities include a petting zoo, and Boardwalk Express train rides. - Daytona Ice Arena in South Daytona is offering special holiday activities during the month of December, including a Christmas show, pictures and skating with Santa, real snow and cookies. Drive Through Bethlehem
- On Dec. 20-22 from 6-9 p.m., you can head over to the Daytona Beach Drive-In Christian Church and take part in a "drive through Bethlehem." Enjoy the sights and sounds of the city from the comfort of your car while listening to the Scriptural account of the Christmas story on your car radio. Live animals and actors help bring the scenes to life. The event is FREE, but donations are welcome. Stetson Mansion Holiday Tour
- The historic Stetson Mansion in nearby DeLand is hosting its annual Christmas tour. This year's theme is "I'll be home for Christmas." Designer decorations from around the world adorn the Mansion and adjacent School House. The Stetson Mansion was designed by noted architect George T. Pearson in 1886, for John B. Stetson, a hat maker, philanthropist and founder of an academy that later became known as Stetson University. Christmas Spectacular tours run through Jan. 15, 2014 and cost $25 cash.
